Safeguarding

Calderdale Family Karate acknowledges its moral and legal obligation to safeguard children, young people, and vulnerable adults. We are committed to ensuring that all children, young people, and vulnerable adults are protected and kept safe from harm during any of our lessons or organised functions. As a club that provides services and classes to young persons and adults at risk, we take our safeguarding procedures very seriously.

Our safeguarding objectives are; to create a place that is safe for children, and adults, and to provide an environment where everyone can practice and learn freely, without fear of abuse or distress. The safety of our members is our number one priority. We have a comprehensive safeguarding policy in place and our club instructors are DBS Checked to an enhanced level.

Everybody has a responsibility to safeguarding children and/or adults at risk from abuse. We therefore ask that you take the time to read and familiarise yourself with our Safeguarding Policy. We also urge you to report any concerns you may have as soon as possible to the Club Safeguarding Officer, or the Local Authority Safeguarding Team.
